Dr. Frank Schöneborn, transfer pricing partner at Ernst & Young in Mannheim, Germany, joined EXA in April 2020. The Heidelberg-based software house, a close SAP partner, works on digital solutions in financial transformation space such as process optimization in transfer pricing.

Schöneborn takes responsibility of the EXA Operational Transfer Pricing program globally covering further functional development and enhancements of EXA’s SAP add-on “Operational Transfer Pricing (OTP)” automation software in close cooperation with EXA’s customers. He will also be responsible for coordinating co-operations and alliances with implementation partners and driving EXA’s business development activities for Operational Transfer Pricing automation in SAP ERP or SAP S4HANA environments.

Prior to joining EXA, Schöneborn spent five years working as a partner at EY, Germany’s largest transfer pricing firm, advising clients on operational transfer pricing. Together with tax experts, he advised clients on the implementation of tax transfer pricing systems within the organization, processes, and IT systems.

Previously, Frank worked for around 17 years in industry in a variety of roles, including general manager/CFO/board member in the UK, as Head of Group Accounting/Operational Transfer Pricing, and as Head of Divisional Finance. Over the course of his career, which began in 1998, Frank has gained a deep understanding of financial reporting, forecasting, business analysis, and transfer pricing implementation.
