On Tuesday, 18 September, EXA AG opened their Walldorf Development Center, close to the software giant SAP. EXA was founded in March this year by Harald Stuckert, Divya Vir Rastogi, Dr. Hartwig Hennighausen and Ulrich Gellert in Heddesheim, Germany. In the meantime, EXA also has offices in West Chester, USA and Bangalore, India.
The focus of EXA is on new, innovative SAP technologies and solutions such as SAP HANA, SAP Business Intelligence (BI) and SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
Dr. Vishal Sikka, executive board member of SAP AG, said at the inauguration that “A disruptive new technology like SAP HANA creates a need for widespread expertise in the community and EXA’s expertise and agility will help increased availability of talent and deliver rapid value to customers.” Harald Stuckert, CEO of EXA, who is also a longtime SAP veteran, emphasized the importance of the site Walldorf. In his opinion, “the physical proximity to SAP is very important as this facilitates collaboration (co-innovation) with SAP and our mutual clients”.
